                                                                 2016-2017 Student Registration Schedule

        Parents must accompany their student to registration.  Required forms will be mailed to parents prior to
        registration and must be completed and turned in during the designated registration day and time.   The
        student registration schedule will be 
strictly followed, no exceptions, so please plan ahead and allow
        plenty of time to attend registration during 
your designated day and time slot.

        Senior Registration & Credit Review
        Seniors students and their parents will be notified by the district's automated calling 
system notifying them
        of their designated day and time they are to meet with the guidance counselor, Mr. 

        Senior Students last names A - C, 8:30 - 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, July 26, 2016
        Senior Students last names D - L, 1:30 - 4:00 p.m., on Tuesday, July 26, 2016

        Senior Students last names M - P, 8:30 - 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, July 27, 2016
        Senior Students last names Q - Z, 1:30 - 4:00 p.m., on Wednesday, July 27, 2016

        Registration for Grades 9 - 11

        All 11th Grade Students, 9:00 - 11:00 am and 1:00 - 4:00 p.m., Tuesday August 2, 2016
        All 10th Grade Students, 9:00 - 11:00 am and 1:00 - 4:00 p.m., Wednesday August 3, 2016
        All 9th Grade Students, 9:00 - 11:00 am and 1:00 - 4:00 p.m., Thursday August 4, 2016

       New Student Registration

       Students who are new to the district and will be residing in the district (proof of residency required) must
       bring from their previous school the documentation listed below.  Once a credit review has been conducted
       the parent and student will be contacted by phone to come in for registration.
       1. Transcripts
       2. Immunization Records
       3. Last Report Card
       4. Discipline Record
       5.  Birth Certificate

       All New Students, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2016 through Thursday, August 4, 2016.


Unexcused Late Work Acceptance Policy

 Cobre High has instituted an “Unexcused” Late Work Acceptance Policy.  This policy does not apply
to students who are absent and receive an excused absence for a health or family situation, or for
  missing school due to a school activity.  This policy applies only to students who are present in
class and are given a due date on an extended assignment and fail to turn in the assignment on
the due date. This is considered unexcused late work.  Unexcused late work will only be accepted
up to four school days from the due date. 

 A grade penalty of 10% off for each day late will be applied.  For example; if an assignment is due
on Wednesday a student may still turn it in by the end of school on Tuesday of the following week
 for partial (40% off the final grade) credit. 
This policy is effective school-wide in all core and elective classes.

Reminder:  after school tutoring for math is right after school on Mondays and Wednesdays
in Mrs. Grijalva's and Ms. Otto's classrooms and for English it is right after school
on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Mrs. Ryan's and Ms. Law's classrooms.
