Unexcused Late Work Acceptance Policy

Cobre High has instituted an “Unexcused” Late Work Acceptance Policy.  This policy does not apply
to students who are absent and receive an excused absence for a health or family situation, or for
missing school due to a school activity.  This policy applies only to students who are present in
class and are given a due date on an extended assignment and fail to turn in the assignment on
the due date. This is considered unexcused late work.  Unexcused late work will only be accepted
up to four school days from the due date.

A grade penalty of 10% off for each day late will be applied.  For example; if an assignment is due
on Wednesday a student may still turn it in by the end of school on Tuesday of the following week
for partial (40% off the final grade) credit.
This policy is effective school-wide in all core and elective classes.
