There is After School tutoring today, tutoring is in Mrs. Ryan’s room, Wednesdays in
Mrs. Grijalva’s and on Thursday’s after school tutoring is in Mrs. Law’s room.

ALL students will have their school pictures taken on Wednesday, September 28th during their social studies class.  Package prices range from $20 to $50.  Please see Mrs. Chavez in the library for more information.

Herff Jones will be today, Tuesday the 27th, to take student orders from noon to 4 p.m., in the front lobby.  The deposits required for class rings is $80 and $80 for senior orders as well.

Best of luck to our JV and varsity volleyball teams as they’ll be traveling this afternoon to play the Lady Mavericks of Lordsburg.  Our Lady Indians will be back in action on Thursday, when they’ll host the Lady Warriors of Socorro starting at 4 p.m., with the C-Team.

Also tomorrow evening in the PAC, the Concert Band of the Southwest will be having its fall performance.  Mr. Gerheart, Ms. Otto and several of our “Indian Pride” band members will be performing.  The concert is free and starts at 7 p.m.

Any student interested in playing golf please meet with Coach Finney in the gym on Wednesday, September 28th, right after school at 3:30 p.m.  Bring your physical form if you already have it.

All girls not out for a fall sport interested in playing basketball this season, pre-season workouts have started after school at 4:30 p.m. at the Bayard Elementary School gym.

Unexcused Late Work Acceptance Policy

 Cobre High has instituted an “Unexcused” Late Work Acceptance Policy.  This policy does not apply
to students who are absent and receive an excused absence for a health or family situation, or for
  missing school due to a school activity.  This policy applies only to students who are present in
class and are given a due date on an extended assignment and fail to turn in the assignment on
the due date. This is considered unexcused late work.  Unexcused late work will only be accepted
up to four school days from the due date. 

 A grade penalty of 10% off for each day late will be applied.  For example; if an assignment is due
on Wednesday a student may still turn it in by the end of school on Tuesday of the following week
 for partial (40% off the final grade) credit. 
This policy is effective school-wide in all core and elective classes.

After school tutoring begins the week of September 26, 2016.  Math is on Mondays and Wednesdays
in Mrs. Grijalva's and Ms. Otto's classrooms and English is right after school
on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Mrs. Ryan's and Ms. Law's classrooms.
