Our varsity Lady Indians will be back on the court today as they’ll play Artistico Heritage in the 1st round of the Moriarity Tournament.  Our varsity boys’ team will also be in action today as they’ll play Ruidoso in the 1st round of the Tularosa Tournament.  Good luck to both teams!


Also, best of luck to our JV wrestlers as they’ll travel to El Paso High today for a tournament.


 Student Council will meet today, Thursday, after school in Ms. Garcia’s room. 
 All members please attend!


The Sophomore Class is having a “Count the Canes Contest” in the library for the month of December.  Guess the amount and win one of four prizes – Movie Tickets, Sonic Gift Card, Goodie Bag or Library Cappuccino punch card.


Our Cobre High Key Club is having a Pancake Breakfast this Saturday, Dec. 10th, from 8-11 a.m. in the foods classroom.  Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children.  Santa Claus will be there so you can take a family picture with Santa Claus for only $5.


Herff Jones will be on campus next Tuesday, Dec. 13th, from 10 – 3 pm, to take orders for class rings, graduation announcements, caps & gowns.  An $80 deposit is required for class rings and senior orders.

Unexcused Late Work Acceptance Policy

 Cobre High has instituted an “Unexcused” Late Work Acceptance Policy.  This policy does not apply
to students who are absent and receive an excused absence for a health or family situation, or for
  missing school due to a school activity.  This policy applies only to students who are present in
class and are given a due date on an extended assignment and fail to turn in the assignment on
the due date. This is considered unexcused late work.  Unexcused late work will only be accepted
up to four school days from the due date. 

 A grade penalty of 10% off for each day late will be applied.  For example; if an assignment is due
on Wednesday a student may still turn it in by the end of school on Tuesday of the following week
 for partial (40% off the final grade) credit. 
This policy is effective school-wide in all core and elective classes.

After school tutoring begins the week of September 26, 2016.  Math is on Mondays and Wednesdays
Ms. Otto's and Mrs. Grijalva's classrooms and English is right after school

on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Mrs. Ryan's and Ms. Law's classrooms.
